Abstract

Here is a Spanish version of this lovely little book that first appeared in French about 1910. I have the French version in two slightly different forms and an English version from 1922 that adds a number of fables from Aesop and makes questionable application to other fables of T.C. Derrick's lovely illustrations. This Spanish edition follows the French page for page. Illustrated full-page in color are MM, FG, TMCM, The Old Lion, The Rat and the Elephant, AD, DLS, and GGE. There are also printer's designs and tailpieces along the way. A lovely one closes the last fable. I like this book a lot in any language!
