Abstract

The two fascicles are reversed. The second fascicle, which comes first, is in its third edition or printing; the first is in the fifth revised and corrected. In the earlier part of this combined booklet we find two La Fontaine fables: "Phoebus and Boreas" (6) and TH (20). The pattern is similar: a song, some or all of La Fontaine's text, and some illustrations of objects to make or gestures to perform. The object for SW is, for example, a large sunhat. Besides gestures to perform, there are games to play. Each fascicle has twelve segments. The fable among the second group of twelve is "Patte Blanche" featuring the wolf and the young goat (12). I think the "évolutions" mentioned in the sub-title may be transformations of poems and songs. Two bibliographic resources on the web gave approximate dates of 1925 and 1930. I split the difference.
