Abstract

I am delighted to have been given the whole set of five Aesop's Sticker Fun booklets through the kindness of Barbara Hooper of Frederic Thomas and Cheryl Haire of Chick-fil-A. Each of the ten illustrations in this sixteen-page stapled pamphlet has a white section where a reader inserts one of the stickers into the picture. Cooper lives a quiet life in a country home; his cousin Cindy invites him through a carrier pigeon. They meet at the farmers' market and soon are watching a parade. They get a ride on a floating balloon and go to the kiddy matinee at the movies. At the theater, Cooper gets stuck in some bubble-gum! Cindy's home happens to be featuring a birthday party on this very day. One attack from the ugly city cat has Cooper scampering home, where he finds his friend the dog waiting for him. The moral here is Life isn't perfect, no matter where you live (15). This Sticker Fun booklet uses the art from a previous Chick-fil-A series.
