Abstract

Three fables are told here, with following nature observations for each. The title story has the cat playing dead and disguising himself as a flour sack, I believe. TB and Il cane ubriaco (on the dog thrown out of the banquet) are the other two stories. The traveller up in the tree is still smoking his pipe! Nifty design work moves three mice from where they are in the cover story's illustration inside the book to where they are on the cover. Apparently Mondadori went back to good texts and illustrations done in its 1984 book titled Favolepiú. There are six books in this apparently new 1990 series, Imparo a Leggere con gli Animali.
