Abstract: en_US This is a sturdy, small (4¾ x 6¼), and handsome 69 page edition that uses Rackham's art well. Several of the strong illustrations are allowed to move outside the margins, like WS (8), WC (13); FC (19), and FK (22). The cover illustration of the cat as a house-calling doctor is nicely enhanced with blue coloring for his coat. This black-and-white illustration occurs again on 45. TMCM's conversation between the two mice makes for good endpapers.
