Abstract

An ant falls with a blade of grass into a pond and soon falls off the blade and into the pond itself. A duck picks up the desperate ant in his bill and brings him safe to the edge of the pond. The ant hopes to help the duck in a tough spot, but the latter says that he can take care of himself. A long time after that, some hunters scare up a number of ducks, including this one. The ant bites a hunter as he is about to shoot this duck. One good turn deserves another (16).
