Abstract: en_US T of C at the beginning. Fifty-one fables, preceded by a useful introduction to Florian (1755-94). Two Travellers (14) is often presented as Aesopic. Grandville's illustrations are always wonderful. One of the best here presents a great child's face in the looking glass on 28. Florian's fables seem to me to be on the preachy side.
