Abstract: en_US One first encounters here a lovely colored pasted-on illustration of FG on the cloth cover. Inside are twenty-two fables offered in rebus form. Beginning on 75 there is a key, a collection of standard tellings of the fables, with some small black-and-white illustrations. The page format in both sections is unusual in that there is a border around the text giving four aphorisms per page. The book is in good condition. Though the frontispiece's TH is from Weir, many of the smaller illustrations in the key seem to come from William Small.
