Abstract

This pamphlet was apparently originally an insert in Tzabariko Magazine. It features fourteen fables, with each fable getting one page and at least one simple illustration. "The Monkey and the Spectacles" is the contribution I notice from Krylov. Otherwise the stories seem to be standard for recent Aesopic collections. The front cover features colored designs from five of the fables. Some of the same designs then appear in black-and-white on both the title-page and the specific fable's page. Several of these line-drawings are colored crudely with crayon. Perhaps the most engaging of the illustrations is TB towards the end of the pamphlet. The inside back-cover offers a list of some 17 booklets, of which this pamphlet seems to be #15. The back-cover presents another list, this one with two columns. A quick check did not reveal a magazine named Tzabariko.
