This is a twelve-page large format (9⅜" x 12") pamphlet that is new to me. A little hunting on the web revealed that Cocard did several things for the Societé, apparently mostly between 1942 and 1950. He was born in 1897 but the date of his death seems unknown. There is a consistent style here in both the full-page colored illustrations (TH -- also on the cover -- and FC) and the monochrome partial-page designs. Other fables include "The Coach and Fly"; LM; "The Cat, Weasel, and Bunny"; and FS. There are tears in most pages, and someone tried matching English words to the French texts.
