Isaac Markoe (1779– 1801)

He is the son of Abraham “Captain” Markoe and Elizabeth Baynton, older brother to John Markoe. Though raised in Pennsylvania, Isaac is believed to have returned to the Caribbean, to manage family interests on St. Croix such their plantation. His daughter, Ann Markoe, reportedly married into a well-established New York family, continuing the Markoe tradition of social and economic alliances.
