Abstract

This fine four-volume series comprises good activities for school children based on fables (eleven per volume) well chosen for their human lessons. Almost every story has a good question labelled Something to think about. The best fable and picture here may be The Bald Man and the Fly. Its moral: You only hurt yourself when you are annoyed by small things. Also good for its moral is The Sick Lion : It is easier to get into trouble than out of trouble.
