In keeping with his obsession with nineteenth-century books and artifacts, Stephen Blumberg collected a number of journals and diaries. Picured below is the diary that Union solider Jasper Hall kept during his confinement in Confederate prisons after his capture by Confederate forces in the Battle of Chickamauga in 1863.
